According to the most recent report made by Arbor Networks, nearly half of the DDoS attacks in the first half of 2013 are larger than 1 Gbos from 13.5 percent in 2012. The report is based on the DDoS attack trends in the first half of 2013 from the data collected in their Active Threat Live Analysis System (ATLAS). ATLAS is a monitoring system that aggregates and analyzes anonymous data from more than 270 service providers.

During the first half of 2013, the attacks are from 2 – 10 Gbps has reached to more than 29 percent and the proportion of the attacks over 10 Gbps has increased by more than 41 percent.
