After a period of accessibility, Dropbox cloud storage is again blocked in China. The cloud storage service becomes available in February for the first time since 2010.


Dropbox appears to have been unavailable from IPs inside China sometime on Wednesday as authorities apply their strictest method of blocking. Blocking Dropbox may prevent Chinese netizens from accessing the materials provided for them outside China in which the government attempted to keep out; however, it could also cause problems for international companies attempting to share files between Chinese employees and collaborators.

Dropbox blockage has been an annoyance and a costly expense to enterprises that are attempting to do business in China.
