Cisco systems announced on Tuesday that they have completed the acquisition of Cloupia, a cloud data center management and automation provider. This is a great move for Cisco because Cloupia has the capabilities to develop the next generation data center, virtualization, and cloud technologies. The acquisition happened sooner than expected. At the time of this announcement, the acquisition is expected to happen some time in Cisco’s fiscal year on 2013.  Cloupia will enable enterprise service providers to manage pools of computing power, networking, storage, and networking services as a unified whole so deployment and IT services are performed at a much lower cost.
