Digital Ocean, an infrastructure-as-a-service(IaaS) provider announced yesterday that they have raised a $3.2 million seed round which is led by IA Ventures and with the participation of CrunchFund and Techstars.


The company says that they will plan to use the proceeds from this funding to hire more marketing and engineering employees and build out its infrastructure. DigitalOcean has more than 350,000 cloud servers to date with an average of 500 new subscribers a day.


Digital Ocean will soon launch private networking in New York Data Center in 111 Eighth Avenue building. The company also plans to launch support for CDNs, load balancing, IPV6 and usage graphs in the dashboard.
