Directi, Tucows, and Namecheap announced on Thursday that they have formed an alliance in which they work together to manage the .online registry. This move happen a couple of days after ICANN announced that the first set of new gTLD applications have been released to the applicants and general public.

Applicants that are seeking the same TLD will have to compete, negotiate, and even form a partnership to produce a winning bid.

Directi and Tucows are known for their wholesale platforms and a large, global domain name reseller. Namecheap, on the other hand, has a built in reputation for strong consumer brand and emphasis on customer service.
