Equinix, announced on Thursday that it has partnered with Emirates telecommunications provider, DU, to deliver data center and interconnection to customers in the Middle East. As a part of the partnership, Equinix has acquired the newly built data center in Dubai. The data center is 44,000 square feet with a capacity of 650 cabinets. Du and Equinox are under a joint agreement and will invest $40 million each. The data center is said to be the first of its kind with cloud providers, and financial enterprise providers will be situated in the infrastructure. This alliance will bring benefit to Du and Equinix as it can build them a global footprint.
