Heartbleed is an OpenSSL vulnerability issue that has shaken the web hosting world. Service providers have been busy educating customers about the vulnerability, upgrading OpenSSL versions on affected servers, and the like. Heartbleed is a serious issue that needs to be attended to.

However, fixing the Heartbleed issue will only take two steps – but only if you know how to do it and have got the resources to do it.

First, you need to make sure that the infrastructure is no longer vulnerable to the exploit. Second, take precautionary measures, and replace your certificates in case they were compromised during the time when vulnerability existed.
