Microsoft has just released a major update from the software tools that form the basis of a cloud computing initiative. Microsoft has released major updates for Windows Server 2012 R2, System Center 2012, and Windows Intune.

 

Major updates for Windows Server 2012 are:

The new update incorporates Software-Defined storage features like storage tiering, dynamic storage rebalancing, data deduplication, and IO control.

Incorporates 2nd generation virtual machine features like live cloning, storage resizing, etc.

Updates to the System Center 2012 are designed to deliver a unified management and agile system administration. These provides consistent cloud management services for hybrid cloud environments which includes provisioning, automation, and monitoring.
