Nominet is running a three-month pilot program of cybersecurity support and advice for SMBs. This program is called Nominet Cyber Assist.

According to the company, the pilot program will run over the summer and will involve 1,000 businesses in different sectors. Nominet plans to find out whether the advice service can help small businesses in the UK to detect and mitigate cybersecurity attacks.

According to the company, 40 percent of cybersecurity issues can take SMBs an entire day to solve. This can cost SMBs a lot of money. This is because SMBs don’t have an IT person on staff when it comes to solving cybersecurity issues. They either solve the issue themselves, call for help of a friend, or contact the support staff.
