Scammers are setting up fake antivirus software that trick Android and Windows phone users to buying these fake apps. These apps have appeared in both Google Play and Windows Phone store. While these apps appear legitimate, they don’t provide any mobile security benefit.

Security experts has recently discovered a scam antivirus app called Virus Shield. After this discovery, experts have also discovered a series of similar fake app. There is also a fake app called Kaspersky Mobile which tricks users into thinking that this was a legitimate mobile security app from Kaspersky Labs.
