SquareSpace, a DIY website builder has raised $40 million from a single investor, General Atlantic in a series of B funding round on Tuesday. General Atlantic, the managing director and head of Internet and Technology Anton Levy will join in SquareSpace’s board of directors.

The partnership will General Atlantic means that SquareSpace will improve their overall service and make it available to more poeple around the world. SquareSpace will use its Series B round to continue scaling its engineering design and infrastructure teams. SquareSpace said that they have planned to double their headcount from its current 270 members, specifically targeting talents in New York.
