Neustar UltraDNS has managed to mitigate a DDoS attack that is targeted at one customer that reached more than 100Gbps bringing down their DNS service for several hours. According to the report, the DDoS was launched Wednesday morning at around 10:45. By 11pm, UltraDNS has mitigated most of the attack.


According to UltraDNS, they are still in the process of analyzing the attack data and will provide further details as it become available. Some customers of UltraDNS weren’t aware of the attack as UltraDNS didn’t start communicating with the customers until after the attack was underway.
