VMWare has launched on Tuesday their vCloud Hybrid Service. It is an infrastructure service based on vSphere.

As the cloud continues to push improvements to their updates and IaaS offerings VMWare’s vCloud will be a more expensive service but the advantage is it will focus on easily migrating workloads between private data centers and public cloud without messing your in-house applications. Beyond that, customers can use virtual networking to extend existing Layer 2 or Layer 3 networks from their data center to the vCloud Hybrid service.

The service will generally be available in the third quarter. Details to the road-map in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia will be announced later this year.
